The Ibituruna Complex consists of a set of interventions aimed at restructuring the Ibituruna Peak, a 1.123 meter high mountain located in the city of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. In order to attend the needs and address the deficiencies diagnosed through an extensive research, the project was based on three main goals:
– Taking advantage of the place whose image identifies and represents the city of Governador Valadares, create an object capable of arousing the pride of its population and, consequently, the empathy for its landmarks, reversing the current degraded state of its heritage assets.
– Promote the dialogue between the local population, tourists and the rich natural environment of the Ibituruna Peak by creating a space for exchanges, interactions and sustainable practices geared towards cultural development and environmental preservation.
– Create a structure equipped with services that meet the already consolidated demands, guarantee the safety and sustainability of the practiced activities and provide new attractions for the public, elevating the value of the amazing experiences that the site offers.
